LastPass production services currently operate from on-premises data centers with cloud-based storage used for various purposes such as storing backups and regional data residency requirements. While no customer data was accessed during the August 2022 incident, some source code and technical information were stolen from our development environment and used to target another employee, obtaining credentials and keys which were used to access and decrypt some storage volumes within the cloud-based storage service. In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we want to provide you with an update regarding our ongoing investigation.īased on our investigation to date, we have learned that an unknown threat actor accessed a cloud-based storage environment leveraging information obtained from the incident we previously disclosed in August of 2022. That being said, expect it to launch on the upcoming Galaxy S8, and Samsung confirmed other devices will get support in the near future. With the Galaxy Note 7 being completely recalled, this service is currently only available for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Perfect for lost, stolen or broken devices. Users can customize the name and icon of the app, or simply hide the folder in the Quick Panel in the notification pulldown bar. Something called a “Secure Folder” can look suspicious. As a result we can completely change the look, name and more to solve that problem. In addition to all of that, Samsung added a slew of customization options. While in use screenshots will save to a hidden location, and users can even take photos that won’t save to the traditional photo gallery. Furthermore, it’s powered by Samsung KNOX, an enterprise-level security platform. If you have something you want to keep private on your Galaxy, this is where it should be. Secure Folder is perfect for sensitive work documents or email addresses, or anything else for that matter.
